Each year Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine holds a special competition among primary school age children across his constituency to design his official Christmas card.
The first competition was held in 2011 with hundreds of entries being submitted to Steve's office in the heart of Fulflood in the city of Winchester. The winner that year was 10-year old Eleanor Ring from Princes Mead School.
Now in its 5th year, the search is on for the 2015 winner and as usual, the winning entry will be used on the front of Steve's official 2015 Christmas card which will be sent out to community groups, public services, charities and local businesses, including the Prime Minister at No.10 and his cabinet. The winner will have their name, age and school printed on the inside front page of the card.
This year's guest judge is Winchester based artist, Josephine Chisholm and all shortlisted entries will be placed on display at the Discovery Centre on Jewry Street from Monday 2nd November until the end of December.
The closing date for entries is Friday 23 October 2015 and should either be sent to Steve's constituency office or alternatively arrangements can be made for collection from your school.
This year's competition is kindly sponsored by Theatre Royal Winchester and Marwell Zoo.
