Stanmore, Badger Farm and Oliver's Battery all sit on the southern part of the city, and are home to a large number of families and businesses.
Secondary education is served in the main by Kings' School, on Romsey Road, and there are a number of primary schools in the area, as well as St Peter's Catholic Primary School, on Oliver's Battery Road North, which takes children from across the constituency.
Shopping is not a problem, with a large Sainsbury's at Badger Farm and a number of local shops; Oliver's Battery has a neat precinct and Stanmore residents can pick up conveniences at Wavell Way and Battery Hill.
There is a strong community spirit present, with a thriving community centre at Badger Farm and a number of groups across Stanmore. Stanmore is also home to a number of students studying at the University of Winchester, and Steve Brine continues to work hard with local people and the University to ensure the area remains a happy and welcoming place for everyone.
