Post Office Ltd has confirmed plans to 'relocate' Winchester's Crown Post Office as part of nationwide plan.
Winchester residents first greeted the news last year with dismay but only now are they being given chance to have a say on the issue.
The Post Office has kicked off a period of public consultation, over plan to locate Winchester's Central 'Crown' Post Office into the High Street store. The consultation started on Februrary 12 and ends on March 27.
Prospective Winchester MP, Steve Brine said; “I think it is wrong for local Post Office customers and for those of WH Smith. You only have to look inside Smith’s to see two into one just won’t work here."
Note - There is a public meeting, to be held on Thursday March 6 in Winchester's Guildhall at 7.00pm. Download the flyer here.
