Local MP Steve Brine and his entire family popped into the East Stratton Fete on Saturday (June 2 2012) and ended up in the dog show.
Steve's well-known Labrador (Popcorn) insisted on entering the show and treated onlookers to his party trick - eating a biscuit from his masters' mouth without biting his nose!
The fete, which was an extra special occasion this year as it was held over the long Jubilee weekend, raises money for the running costs and upkeep of All Saints Church in the village and a little over £5,000 was raised this year for the fund.
Steve said; "I wasn't opening the fete or even being put in the stocks this year but the family and I wanted to come along because East Stratton is good fun and the kids (plus the dog) love it there. It was excellent to catch-up with the Dever Society and many local people who stopped to chat.
"I must admit I hadn't planned on entering the dog show but Popcorn - pictured in full Jubilee mood - wasn't going to miss out and looking back, the fact our party trick involves him getting a biscuit might have had something to do with it!"
