Steve Brine spent a Friday night out on the town, as he joined up with the Winchester Street Pastors on 2nd December.
The Winchester MP joined Rev David Williams as an official observer and team leader Mike O'ConnorĀ as the group chatted and offered friendly support to youngsters sampling Winchester's lively nightlife.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "A fascinating evening and above all intriguing to see a different Winchester. We all rush so much from A to B these days but when you are out with the Street Pastors it is your job to walk slowly and take in things many of us ordinarily miss.
"The greatest compliment I can pay the Winchester chapter of the Street Pastors is to say it seems to me from observing them at work that they have always been here. What's more I think the police, door staff and many of the people out enjoying this city at night value them enormously.
"Many thanks to Rev David Williams, team leaderĀ Mike and the others for letting me go out with them. I enjoyed it greatly, in spite of the constant downpour!"
