Steve Brine and his young family joined hundreds of Chandler's Ford and Hiltingbury residents at Fryern Recreation Ground on Monday 7th May for the Fryern Funtasia.
The event was organised by the popular, and newly re-elected, councillor Mike Hughes, and facilitated by the Chandler's Ford Parish Council, and was packed with entertainment, including pony rides, go-karts, It's a Knock-out and a small gauge railway.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "This was a fantastic event, and certainly something that the kids will remember for a long time. It was great to see so many families out enjoying the afternoon, particularly when the sun came out- something we were all thankful for.
"I pay special tribute to Mike Hughes, who works so tirelessly on behalf of local people, alongside the parish council, on successfully pulling so much together and would like to thank them on behalf of everyone who had such a good time."
