Steve Brine attended the Service of Institution and Induction of Revd Jonah Watts in Twyford, on Tuesday 4th October.
The Right Reverand Peter Hancock, Bishop of Basingstoke, carried out the ceremony, which was held at a packed St Mary the Virgin, before the event carried on to the Colden Common Community Centre on St Vigor Way.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "This was a lovely event, and I was honoured to be asked to come. It is always a good sign when a healthy number of those from the new Rector's parish come along to wish him well, and I am sure Twyford will be extremely well-served by Jonah, who already appears to have the full support of his parish.
"I am looking forward to working with him in the future, and wish him all the very best in his new role."
