Steve Brine met recently with local businesswoman and author Cheryl Rickman at his constituency office in Fulflood to find out more about her exciting new project.
WiBBLE plans to be an affordable support and promotional network and library of learning tools. It is a party host and reassuring hand, and a safe hub for people to come and join in, learn, teach, give and take. It is a place where you can find customers, be sent customers, learn how to keep customers and achieve goals.
Cheryl said: "WiBBLE is many things. WiBBLE's core goal is to inspire, inform, educate and empower women in business by providing a collaboration and referral engine and support/promotional network. It provides all of this to help local women (from various locations across the nation) to attract and retain more customers, grow their business, achieve their goals, improve their productivity, achieve work-life balance and, ultimately, boost their businesses. Crucially, (and in contrast to existing networks) it provides tools, solutions and support that is AFFORDABLE. "
Steve said: "I was fascinated when Cheryl first got in touch with me, and could not wait to hear more from her. I know WiBBLE started life as a small Facebook group and just grew and grew, and I am sure many constituents will be interested in the upcoming launch event.
Cheryl added: "I am incredibly excited about the group and added value website and how it can positively impact women who are working on their own or in very small teams on their own small businesses- from cupcake makers and dog walkers, to hairdressers, designers and personal trainers.
"Women are brilliant at sharing, encouraging and supporting each other, and WiBBLE gives them a fun place to do so. With 37% of businesses last year set up by women – up from 10% the previous year – there has never been a better time to be an enterprising woman or a WiBBLEr."
