Steve and his daughter, Emily, dodged the showers on May Day Bank Holiday Monday (1st May 2017) to support the annual Fryern Funtasia.
The event, sponsored again this year by Jonathan Rees Estate Agents, is held on the Chandler's Ford Recreation Ground and is a firm favourite with families on the first Monday in May. It is organised by Chandler's Ford Parish Council.
Steve and his family have attended every year since the event begun and this year was no different. He was joined by Borough and County Councillor, Judith Grajewski, as well as Parish Chairman Margaret Atkinson and Eastleigh Borough Councillor Dan Hatfield.
As well as community games, a bouncy castle, pony rides and bungie trampolines, the event featured a wide range of local organisations from One Community to Three Rivers Rail and the Chandler's Ford & Itchen Valley Rotary.
Steve said; "I love these events and do my best to attend as many as possible right across the constituency each year. The Parish put so much work into making this event work and to ensure it's safe for all who attend.
"Emily and I really enjoyed ourselves, even the dog show although it was touched with sadness for us this year as this was the first Funtasia we've attended without Popcorn who passed away in March."
