Steve Brine joined a group of MPs meeting with Open Doors on Wednesday 13th April in the House of Commons.
The briefing, which heard from a range of speakers, highlighted the violent persecution regularly faced by Christians in northern Nigeria, and was hosted by Steve's colleague Fiona Bruce MP. Also among those in attendance were Hilary Benn MP, the Shadow Foreign Secretary, Desmond Swayne MP, the Minister of State for International Development, and Chuka Umunna MP.
Speaking after the event, Steve said: "This was an extremely useful meeting, and as ever I am very grateful to the excellent Open Doors for taking the time to brief us so carefully. I know that last year over 4000 Nigerian Christians were killed purely down to their religion, and the analysis provided was focussed and to the point."
