Member of Parliament for Winchester, Steve Brine, dropped into a brand new e-cycle business, which opened their doors in Shawford this April.
Steve met up with two of the three man ownership, hearing from Ed Chase and Tom Corcoran how the first few months of business has gone and their plans as they look to build for the future.
The Cycle Company offers a unique all electric stock which are available to both purchase or hire. Mr Brine, who previously led the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling in Westminster, gained an insight into a growing industry and the possibilities to expand cycling interest amongst current non-riders.
Steve says; “I so enjoyed meeting Ed and Tom and you can tell they have such a passion for cycling and getting more people out on bikes. E-bikes are an excellent way to do this and it’s clear they open up so many possibilities many who wouldn’t previously have considered life on two-wheels.
“Electric bikes are going to be a key way to build confidence as we seek to get more people getting out and about, keeping fit and healthy, but also promoting alternatives to driving.”
