Steve Brine dropped into Twyford School on Friday 25th November, where he met with staff and children.
The Winchester MP spoke at length with Headteacher Dr Steve Bailey, and had a tour of the school led by the Head Boy and Head Girl. He then took part in a stimulating Q&A session with the School Council.
Steve Brine said: "I really enjoyed my visit to Twyford, and as well as a fantastic Q&A session, I also had a very useful meeting with Dr Steve Bailey to hear about the recently agreed future masterplan for the school."
Dr Steve Bailey said: "We have always valued our visits from Steve Brine MP. He always hosts a meeting of our School Council and gives them a true sense of what political life is like; both in the constituency and at Westminster.
"This helps our children develop an intelligent 'pupil voice', mirroring the processes of democracy in broader society. This time the questions prepared by the children (aged 8 to 13) included Brexit, the US President-Elect, the nature of democracy, the rule of law, tolerance and extremism, and even favourite rooms in the Palace of Westminster and Houses of Parliament."
