Steve Brine opened a new link-way at the Abbeyfield Winchester Society on Saturday 10th December.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP joined Trustees of the national society, as they celebrated the opening of the link-way, following extensive work which has also included an upgraded car park and a new entrance to Thornton House at their Twyford site.
Abbeyfield is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making the lives of older people easier and more fulfilling. Abbeyfield helps people to live independently by providing a range of services, all of which are linked to the local community.
Abbeyfield currently has over 700 houses and 80 care homes across the UK, and are adding to these numbers by constantly developing new facilities.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "Abbeyfield is a wonderful not-for-profit organisation that I know works so hard to improve the lives of our older people. I have visited them here before, and it was great to be able to come back on such a happy occasion."
