Steve Brine opened the CLIC Sargent Christmas Gift Fair at Lainston House Hotel in Sparsholt, on Sunday 6th November.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP is a supporter of the charity, and was delighted to be asked along to open the event.
Emily Jenkins, Local Event Fundraising Manager, said: "The CLIC Sargent Christmas Gift Fair raised £24,000 and this will enable us to continue helping children and young people with cancer. This money could fund a CLIC Sargent Nurse for 6 months. Our Nurses provide specialist care in hospital and in the community, and having a nurse visit at home or in school to take blood or change dressings means less disruption to a family's everyday life."
Steve added: "It was such good fun today, and it was great to be able to bring young Emily. I am staggered by just how much money was raised, and over the moon at just how successful the day was."
