Steve Brine loves his music - so just because we can, here's what he's listening to this week!
It is fair to say the man aiming to become MP for the new constituency covering Winchester & Chandler’s Ford loves his music.
Many years of working in hospital radio, followed by professional radio (where he worked for several years) and a passion for stumbling across new bands has fostered a keen love of two guitars, a set of drums and a strong melodic chorus!
Steve says; “I am strangely drawn to the mud of that field in Somerset and have had some of the best weekends of my life at Glastonbury. My best mate and I often meet up (in Bristol) to see a new band, recent gigs include The Twang and Mr Hudson. I am 35 now but the thrill of finding a new band and hearing their music for the first time still has the power to excite me as if I were 16 again. If that ever changes for me, I need to change my life!”
ARTIST OF THE MONTH : Journey

STEVE SAYS : this song is old-school from the 70's rock-band which has raced back into view after little Joe McEldery sang it on last year's X-Factor TV show. I am told it's going to be the song of the first part of 2009 due to its use on various promo work and a new TV show which features a (very) glam performance of the old classic. The 'Essential Journey' collection is taking pride of place on my iTunes at the moment.
