Saturday 30th June saw the 150th Anniversary of the St Cross Fete at the Hospital of St Cross in Winchester, and city MP Steve Brine took his family along to take part in the celebrations.
Sponsored by Carter Jonas, the event saw Punch and Judy, steam train rides, a tombola, music from the Chandler's Ford Boys Brigade Brass Band and fairground rides among much more, as well as refreshments sponsored by Shentons Solicitors.
Steve drew the raffle with young Emily and William, which featured a bottle of House of Commons champagne, signed by the Prime Minister, which he organised for the event.
Steve Brine said; "Not many fetes can claim to marking their 150th anniversary and what a breathtaking place inside the grounds of the Hospital.
"Blue skies, an ancient setting, Morris men dancing on the grass and the English flag flying proudly on top of the church. All was right in the world at St Cross Fete.
"It was a pleasure to be there and nice to be able to arrange for a bottle of champagne signed by the Prime Minister which one lucky, and nearby, resident will no doubt put pride of place in their home!"
