Steve Brine popped into Winchester Tennis and Squash Club on Monday 12th December to present a £50,000 cheque awarded to the club by Sport England.
The investment is part of Places People Play, our Olympic and Paralympic legacy fund, which aims to bring the inspiration of the 2012 Games to every community in England, and will provide floodlights to the thriving club, which had an impressive number of early bird players out during the presentation and photocall.
Steve Brine said: "This is fantastic news for Winchester Tennis and Squash Club. £50,000 is an awful lot of money in anyone's book, and Sport England's generosity will, I am sure, be truly appreciated as the 2012 Olympics draw closer and they work hard to inspire every community across the country."
