Steve Brine took part in Winchester's Sport Relief Mile this morning at the River Park Leisure Centre.
Prospective Winchester MP, Steve Brine, was joined by wife Susie and four-month old Emily this morning (Sunday 16th March 2008) for the Winchester Sport Relief Mile.
Several hundred brave souls endured appalling conditions for the event, held at the River Park Leisure Centre in Central Winchester. The local event is part of a nationwide push this weekend to raise money for vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives at home and abroad in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Steve says; “I raised just over £250 for the good causes supported by Sport Relief and while I would love to report a record time, all I can say to you is … we made it back ahead of four girls tied together at the ankle and three lovely ladies dressed as pink bunny rabbits!”
A wetter than usual Steve Brine is pictured above at the finish post this morning.
