Steve Brine joined the 2012 Parliamentary Bike Ride through London on the morning of Tuesday 12th June.
A keen cyclist, Steve has been Vice Chair of the influential All-Party Parliamentary Cycling Group since entering the House in 2010, and last year, in the corresponding event, cycled with Olympic champion Chris Boardman among others.
This year, Parliamentarians from all parties and both Houses battled through torrential rain, starting at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden before arriving at the Palace of Westminster where a meeting was held with various cycle groups, hosted by the All-Party Group.
Steve said:"What a great way to start the day, even in that rain. This is an established event in the Parliamentary year now and our All-Party Cycling Group just goes from strength to strength.
"It is particularly important this year with the London Olympics and it was great to have Tommy Godwin with us who is an Olympic medallist from the 1948 games."
He added that is was great to be joined this year by Mark Searles from Winchester (they are in Fulflood) based bike maker Cytronex.
