MP holds key debate on local schools

Steve Brine held a special debate in the House of Commons this evening covering a wide range of issues affecting teachers and schools across Winchester & Chandler’s Ford.

Highways England today published the formal statutory consultation on plans to transform Junction 9 of the M3 at Winchester.

Local MP Steve Brine has campaigned for years to bring the scheme forward and unlock one of the worst bottlenecks and congestion points in the south of England.

The traditional event, held in the beautiful surroundings of the Hospital of St Cross, had a wide range of stalls, games and train rides and was sponsored by Carter Jones.

Winchester MP Steve Brine paid a visit to Oliver’s Battery Primary School today for a final meeting with Headteacher Fey Wood.

Fey retires later this month after more than four years at the school during which time she has transformed its fortunes.
