A special service was held this evening (Saturday 25 September) to mark ten years of Winchester Street Pastors.
Winchester MP, Steve Brine, attended the event which was held at Christ Church in the city.
Volunteers spoke about their work and the congregation heard from founder of the movement, Rev. Les Isaac via video link.
Steve says; "This was at the end of a very busy day but I wanted to be there to thank everyone, especially Mark Hibbert-Hingston who is the co-ordinator that makes it all happen. Anyone with young people out on the town in Winchester can feel really pleased we have such a caring and dedicated team who have their back should anything go wrong.
"I remember the start of this amazing organisation and have been out on the streets with their volunteers before. I plan to get out with them again very soon."
After the service, which was led by Rev Ed Dines who chairs the charity, everyone gathered for drinks and food.
