Steve Brine took Popcorn along to the 2013 Children's Pet Show, held at Littleton Recreation Ground on Thursday 5th September, and was on hand to present a range of prizes.
The annual event awarded prizes in a number of categories for dogs, including Best Pedigree, Best Cross Breed, Prettiest Bitch and even Waggiest Tail!
There were also prizes for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents and exotic pets.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "This is a terrific event and it's clearly popular. Popcorn and I were thrilled to be asked and he seemed very keen on a number of the contestants!
"Well done to Lynda and the team for such a successful event."
The winner of best dog in show was Molly (owner Becky) and the winner of best 'other pet' in show was the guinea pig Scruffy (owners Sasha and Sophia).
The pet show made a profit of £572.71 this year, all going to local charities. This year, the principal beneficiary
is the 1st Winchester Scout Group who are planning to build a new scout hut.
The event was supported by a number of sponsors, including businesses such as Alan Lear Motorcycles, Purrfectly Pets and Wilds Sports, as well as Clive and Eryl Thompsett, Marion and Brian Hall, Ferne and Rob Baxter and Jessica and Ronald Massie.
