A local architect firm has won a national award for their work on a 'stunning' chapel built at the University of Winchester.
Design Engine, based in the heart of Fulflood, took the Overall Winner prize at the national Civic Voice Design Awards, held in The Leadenhall Building, London and attended by community groups from across England and industry professionals on Friday 14th July.
The prize was awarded for their Winton Chapel creation on the University Campus, and they were nominated by the City of Winchester Trust (CWT).
Steve Brine, who has written to congratulate Design Engine, and has also celebrated the news with the University of Winchester and CWT, said: "I am not surprised Winton Chapel caught the judges' eyes, as it is simply stunning.
"It is a richly deserved award, from a hugely respected group, that is testament to the vision of our excellent University and the talent of everyone at Design Engine."
