Steve Brine led a packed Saturday session in Colden Common, as dozens of local volunteers took to the villages of Colden Common and Twyford for a successful day of campaigning.
A large number of teams met with hundreds of local people, and covered a huge amount of ground over the day, which culminated in a drink and a catch up in the popular Rising Sun pub on Spring Lane in Colden Common.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "Wow, what a great day! We covered so much ground, and managed to speak to a huge amount of residents across both villages. It is fair to say that the reaction to my 100% positive local campaign was great, and that people are very clear here about what this General Election means for them."
On Saturday afternoon, after a sandwich with the family in Oliver's Battery, Steve and his two children went to the final home game of the season at Winchester City FC. They won 3-0 against Totton & Eling and finish second in the Wessex League Premier Division for the 2014/15 season.
