Winchester Students' Conservative Society met on Thursday 10th December for their Christmas dinner at The Green Man in Winchester, and to reflect on the past year.
Chairman Ross Playle said: "After what has been a great year for us, the Winchester group has seen a massive increase in its membership and interest among young people. We were all very pleased to see Steve Brine MP, who popped by on his way home from Westminster, for a catch up with the team."
Steve said: "The student group, or "Brine's builders" as they informally call themselves have been a huge support this year, it was good to be able to speak to them this evening and wish them all a happy Christmas!"
WSCS member and 3rd year University of Winchester student, Harry Sampson, added: "I've had a smashing time at university, and a lot of that is thanks to WSCS. It offers the chance to engage with fellow students and get involved in the community. It has given and continues to give me the courage and confidence to push for positive changes for students and make the most of my time here."
