Steve Brine and all the family attended a fun-packed afternoon at Fryern Recreation Ground on Monday 6th May, as local people took part in Funtasia.
The afternoon included pony rides, go-karts, a circus tent and a small gauge railway, alongside a spider mountain, archery range and an American hog roast and curry.
Proceeds from the event last year were used to help refurbish the Fryern Rec grounds, and create the Diamond Jubilee Garden next the Fryern Pavilion, which Steve attended as it opened. This year, funds raised will be used to further develop the grounds and garden, as well as supporting other social and community projects across the area.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "After the deluge of last year's Funtasia and wash-out of September's Hiltingbury Extravaganza we approached today with a little nervousness about the great British Bank Holiday weather but it turned out a scorcher.
"Funtasia did not disappoint me or the kids who had a great time. Lovely also to meet up with Cllr Colin Davidovitz who was comfortably re-elected as the Chandler's Ford County Councillor last week."
