Steve Brine has welcomed news that unemployment is at its lowest rate since 2008, with 5.7% out of work, compared with 8% in 2010.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP tabled a Parliamentary Question to Department for Work and Pensions Minister Esther McVey, and the figures were announced to Mr Brine in the House of Commons on Monday 9th March.
Steve Brine said: "This is a very welcome drop since we came into government, and while I am pleased, especially with the great strides made locally as youth unemployment is down a whopping 79%, there is still more work to do."
