Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine visited The Haven on the morning of Tuesday 13th September, to look at the care and support they offer to those with breast cancer.
The Haven, which is near Fulham Broadway tube station in London, providesa wide range of therapies free of charge to support patients' wellbeing with and beyond breast cancer. Specialist nurses and experts in nutrition, exercise, emotional support and complementary therapies provide individualised in-depth programmes to help with physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer treatment.
Steve, who is co-chair of the All-Party Group for Breast Cancer, met with Chief Executive Pamela Healy, who also gave him a tour of the site. Speaking on his way back to the House of Commons, Steve said: "I was absolutely delighted to be asked by Pamela to make the short journey across the capital and take a look around.
"The team here carry out such wonderful work, and this was without question time well spent, and will be most useful for me to take back to the Group."
