Steve and his family met up with the new Mayor of Winchester today (Monday 30 May 2016) at the Kings Worthy fete.
The May Bank Holiday event was organised by St Mary's Church and warm weather brought out the crowds as well as dozens of stalls selling gifts or food. Many local organisations, including the Scouts and Worthys FC, were there providing lots of things for the children to do.
A local ukelele band playes throughout the afternoon and there were performances from the Spitfire Sisters, Blue Apple Theatre and the Worthy Players.
One of the Kings Worthy councillors, Cllr Jane Rutter, has just become the Mayor of Winchester and she was there with her husband Duncan. They met up (pictured) with Steve Brine at the event.
Steve says; "We especially enjoy this fete because it's very local to us and the kids enjoy seeing many of their friends from school and pre-school. It's always a good chance to chat with constituents and the crowds this year were really strong. Well done to new Vicar, Paul Brandish, and his team for putting on such a successful event."
