Steve and his children dropped into town on Saturday 22nd October as they took part in Hyde900's King Alfred Weekend.
The King Alfred Weekend is Hyde900's annual showcase of the projects it has undertaken in bringing to light the heritage and talents of Hyde and its community.
As well as commemorating the casualties from Hyde in World War One with the Hyde Soldiers event, the weekend also included a look back at the English language a thousand years ago under King Alfred, as well as examining and discussing Hyde Abbey, where King Alfred is said to remain.
Steve said: "This was such a special event and once again the truly superb Hyde900 have put on such a fantastic weekend. We were delighted to drop in and share the experience, and also discuss other projects they are working on, not least the next Community Dig which is set for April."
