Steve Brine joined HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Lord Lieutenant Dame Mary Fagan and the Mayor of Winchester amongst many others as the King's Royal Hussars marched through the centre of Winchester on Monday 3rd December.
The Regiment has strong recruiting ties with the south of England, and many of the soldiers who paraded come from Hampshire.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "The Regiment has recently returned from a six-month tour based around Lashkar Gah, in Helmand Province, working to contain insurgency and assisting the Afghan National Security Forces in providing security to the region.
"It was great to see not only the Regiment parading here in the city, but also the sheer number of local people who turned out in force to greet them prior to the Winchester Cathedral service."
