Steve Brine joined local Christian Aid supporters, Hampshire MPs and the Bishop of Winchester at Winchester Cathedral on Friday 25th January at the launch of a campaign to tackle global hunger.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP was part of a series of press events across the country, in places such as London, Belfast, Cardiff and Glasgow as the IF campaign, which seeks to tackle to root causes of hunger across the world was launched.
Steve said: "Despite there being enough food in the world to feed everyone nearly one billion people go to bed hungry every night and over two million children die from malnutrition annually. The campaign is also backed by charities such as Oxfam and Tearfund and over 100 development agencies, and I was delighted to be a part of this special event right in the heart of our city."
