Steve Brine this week joined a group of local businesses for a roundtable discussion on the local and national business environment as the economy begins to exit lockdown.
The event, organised by NatWest, brought together a range of businesses from the local area, and provided a forum to explore how local firms, banks and politicians can work together to help champion the potential of businesses and communities such as ours.
Speaking after the event, Steve said; “I am always keen to hear from businesses in my constituency on how we can work together with banks such as NatWest to support the economic recovery, both locally and nationally.
“While the challenges faced by business varies considerably from sector to sector, it is vital that we continue an open dialogue on how best to protect jobs and get the local economy back on its feet after an extremely tough year.
“I am pleased that when the crisis hit, banks such as NatWest really stepped up to support their customers and it is important we work together as lockdown begins to end and government support schemes begin to unwind.”
