Steve Brine used this morning to pop into local arts centre, The Nutshell, which gives space to Winchester creatives to rehearse, exhibit and perform.
The MP joined one of the space’s directors, Harriet Morris, to see behind the curtain and have a tour of the facilities. During the visit Steve was given the opportunity to hear about the struggles The Nutshell has faced over the covid pandemic and their vision for the next 3-years.
After the visit, Steve said; “The Nutshell is a truly amazing space and I’m really glad Harriet gave me the chance to see inside, after passing many times. Harriet and the team have some really great plans for the place IF Winchester City Council can help. It was strange being in there again as I remember so clearly poking around the various stalls in its former incarnation.”
The Nutshell opened in January 2019 after a Crowdfunder campaign.
