A Chandler's Ford student is hoping to build a career in film production after having entered Film the House, a Parliamentary competition for aspiring producers.
Isaac House created Note to Self earlier this year, a ten-minute film about a boy who decides to leave home. Although he just missed out on the national final, the experience has spurred him on to bigger things.
Isaac said: "Taking part in the 'Film the House' competition has been a great experience and learning curve for me as an aspiring filmmaker. After deciding that university wasn't for me, I got a job for an insurance company, in order to fund the various projects I am working on.
"My film 'Note to Self' was the first film I had ever made from script to screen. It was filmed in my house and around Chandler's Ford and Winchester. The story underwent many changes whilst filming and the version that is completed is just over half of the original script.
"Although due to time constraints I had to cut scenes out that could not be filmed, nonetheless, the film was chosen by Steve Brine to represent his constituency and my home town in the 'Film the House' competition but just missed out on the national finals.
"I am currently writing my next film. That is much more ambitious (and longer) than the first and I hope to go into production by early 2013."
Steve added: "I was so pleased to be able to nominate Isaac for his excellent film, which I really enjoyed watching. He is clearly very ambitious and I am sure he has an exciting future in film production."
