Steve Brine joined the Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, and Christians of all denominations at Winchester Cathedral for a special Beacon event on Sunday 4th June.
This event was the culmination of a 'wave of prayer' across the country, part of 'Thy Kingdom Come', an opportunity for Christians from across the world to sign up and join in prayer for the nine days between the Christian feasts of Ascension and Pentecost (25th May – 4th June).
The evening was one of 21 Beacon events taking place across the country, uniting Christians at the end of their time in prayer.
Thy Kingdom Come, now in its second year, is a global prayer movement, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. What started out as an invitation from the Archbishops' of Canterbury and York in 2016 to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.
Steve Brine said: "This was a fantastic service, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury. It was all the more special that we were part of the wave of prayer across the country, and it was also a real treat to hear Matt Redman sing."
