Local MP Steve Brine dropped in to Stanmore on Friday 22nd July to say a few words as the St Luke's Parish Church held a special fete.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the church, and the forming of the parish, and retains local support from across the whole community.
Steve, who visited the fete after a busy afternoon surgery in his Stockbridge Road office, said: "I really appreciated the thoughts of organisers, including Lionel Kay and Rev Mike Gardner, in asking me to come along.
"I was delighted to say a few words, and wish the church and parish all the very best as they pass through this historic milestone."
