Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine voted to back air strikes against ISIL in the House of Commons on Friday 26th September. Mr Brine was present in the recalled chamber for the whole debate, and at the conclusion, MPs voted with a 481 cross-party majority to back the Prime Minister and support attacks on militants.
Speaking to the Prime Minister in the debate, Steve Brine said: "Some of those who have contacted me give voice to the fear of the consequences of action.
"But is it not the point, and the reason that we have been recalled today, that the consequences of non-action - as I believe this House proved last summer - are far, far worse?" RAF Tornado fighters are now set to start operations from their Cyprus base.
