Local MP, Steve Brine, paid a Saturday visit to the Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club, along with his son William and daughter Emily, after building an interest in the sport and hearing great things about the club from the local community
The Winchester & Chandler’s Ford MP met with Ray Cooper, who runs the club, and one of the coaches, Tim. Ray and Tim spent the morning showing Steve around their facilities and how they’re ensuring the club is Covid secure at all times.
Steve got a chance to show off his snooker skills when invited to the table by eight-year-old William, who proceeded to take over the show with his ability.
Steve Brine said afterwards; “I was blown away by William’s talents and promising ability, definitely one to remember and watch for the future. The overall sense I got was of a club at the heart of the community and so very valued by its members. It's been here for 25 years and I think it will be for many more to come.”
