Winchester & Alresford MP Steve Brine brought his long-running street surgery back to Alresford this morning (Saturday 18 July 2015) where he enjoyed two very warm hours meeting constituents.
As ever, he was joined for the session by local councillors (Ernie Jeffs and Lisa Griffiths) and was based on the corner of Broad Street and West Street in the bustling market town.
Shoppers stopping to chat raised many local issues with the team but there were also national matters on the agenda including; Speech and Language Therapy Services, the Assisted Dying Bill, universal pensioner benefits and the national property market.
Steve said; "We all love these sessions because they are so popular and people seem to love the chance to chat with their MP and local councillors. We may have just had a long General Election campaign but I think it's important to get back out there and continue my effort to be a fully accessible Member of Parliament."
Pictured; Steve, Ernie and Lisa were joined at one point by well known local butcher, John Sole who was doing a roaring trade in the hot weather providing shoppers with their BBQ supplies for the weekend ahead.
