The local MP dropped into an Oliver's Battery church, as he supported the Big Brew, one of many events marking Fair Trade Fortnight.
The Big Brew returned to St Mark's Church for he first time since 2020 as Fair Trade Fortnight picked up from where it left before the pandemic. The city was awarded fairtrade status back in 2008 and always holds a packed programme of events every Feburary/March to mark the occasion.
Steve Brine MP says; "I have supported the fairtrade team every year I've been the MP and before. I'm so glad to see it returning to its best after the past two years. They're such a lovely group and always so welcoming.
It was super to be able to drop by and have a cup of tea, I congratulate them for all their sterling work, and many thanks to St Mark's for holding such a lovely event."
