Winchester has become a city known for a strong celebration of all things fairtrade down the years and 2020 is no different.
The city was awarded fairtrade status back in 2008 and always holds a packed programme of events to mark Fairtrade Fortnight. That began with a friendly coffee morning today at St Lawrence's Church just off The Square in Winchester and local MP Steve Brine popped in for a cuppa on his way to hold his latest constituency surgery.
Steve says; "I have supported the fairtrade team, led so passionately by Rosemary Dunhill, every year I've been the MP and before. They're such a lovely group and always so pleased to see me, often with my children.
"It was super to be able to drop by and have a cup of tea with them as well as pick up some FT biscuits for the constituents to tuck into at my surgery later that morning."
