Steve Brine took the opportunity to back the University of Winchester's degree apprenticeships in Business Questions on Tuesday 28th June.
He told Jo Johnson, the Minister for Universities and Science, that the Sparkford Road facility was 'exceptionally strong' and performed consistently well with regards to both student satisfaction surveys and graduate prospects.
Mr Johnson, who revealed he had visited the University the previous week, told the House that it was 'leading the way' in degree apprenticeships, as well as in many other areas.
He also confirmed that he is to meet vice-chancellor Prof Joy Carter again shortly, and confirmed that 95% of students go on to employment or further study in a very short time.
