Steve Brine dropped into Macmillan's Mobile Cancer Information & Support Service when it was available for Winchester residents on Wednesday 5th September.
A team of information and support specialists answered questions outside the Guildhall, on the historic Broadway throughout the day, and the Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP was delighted to be able to drop in and show his support.
Steve, who is the co-chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Breast Cancer, said: "The word cancer holds such fear and I know that feeling sadly all too well. Macmillan are such a trusted organisation, providing palliative care nurses that are so valued but also helping answer questions and that is what today is about."
Over one in three people will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives, and this service aims to provide information and support to anyone affected by cancer, without the need for an appointment. Macmillan delivers this service from a specially fitted out bus, which is staffed by cancer information specialists.
