CPRE Hampshire celebrates its 50th birthday this year and their group marked the occasion with a special bash near Winchester.
The event, hosted by Presdident The Earl of Malmesbury, at Avington Park in Itchen Abbas was a chance to say thank you to volunteers and supporters and refocus the work of the charity in the coming years.
Winchester MP Steve Brine attended and was full of praise for the work of CPRE locally and nationally; "MPs get a lot of lobbying and a lot of it is not that smart of even remotely targetted. With CPRE it's different as we always know what they send us will be intelligent and well argued and it will always understand we first and foremost must represent our own constituents.
"I pay great tribute to Dee Haas who leads CPRE in the county and to Christopher Napier who is so skilled at liaising with Members of Parliament. Their focus on a campaign around possible new green belt land in Hampshire is really interesting and I look forward to hearing more about it."
