Steve Brine dropped into Otterbourne on Wednesday 15th April with the team, as they knocked on doors and listened for themselves to the dramatically reduced sound volume from the motorway following Steve Brine's successful M3 noise campaign.
The team were joined by Jan Warwick, who is standing for re-election this year in the WCC Compton, Otterbourne, Shawford and Hursley ward, and covered a lot of ground all along the Main Road, and Otterbourne Hill, before grabbing a quick sandwich in The Otter.
Steve said: "I am sure we will get confirmation later, but this certainly felt like the hottest day of the year, and for the first time in a long time, it was best that Popcorn stayed at home in the comfortable shade.
"There was a lot of reaction to my M3 noise campaign now that the work has been fully completed, and it just shows what hard work and persistence, including meeting no less than three Roads Ministers over the last five years in Parliament, can achieve.
"More widely, there was a huge amount of support for Jan and I in this lovely part of the world, and the evidence really points to ever-growing momentum in my positive campaign."
