New rough sleeping service launched

A nationwide new service designed to help rough sleepers has been launched by the government on Tuesday 11th December.

Streetlink provides a central point of contact that members of the public who wish to get help for a rough sleeper can call.

Liam Skeat wins MP Christmas Card competition

Six year old Liam Skeat has won Steve Brine's second Annual Christmas Card competition.

Liam, who attends St Bede Church of England School in Hyde, won the contest with a fantastically detailed drawing featuring Santa and his sleigh and reindeer, carol singers and a beautiful church.
