Park Sport 2012 in Eastleigh

Steve Brine has welcomed Park Sport 2012, an initiative taking place at over 25 locations across Eastleigh, which will offer free sessions to all 8 - 16 year olds throughout the summer holidays to give people the opportunity to get outside and try something new.

Bang Bang Boom- Winnall Rock School

Steve dropped in to see the guys from Winnall Rock School at their stand at the Festival of Volunteering event on Sunday 3rd June.
Winnall Rock School runs every Tuesday evening during term time for 10-17 year olds, and is based at KAYAC on Winnall Valley Road.

Winchester's BIG society (and lunch)

The second Winchester Festival of Volunteering was held on Sunday (June 3 2012) and once again it joined forces with the city's version of the nationwide initiative 'Big Lunch', known as One Big Table.

MP highlights local Stroke Support Group

Steve Brine visited the Stroke Support Group (Winchester and District) on Monday 28th May, to find out more about their Winnall set up.

The group, which is self-funded and staffed by experienced volunteers, was set up in 2010, and is based at Winnall Community Centre on Garbett Road.
