MP supports call to stop attacks on guide dogs

Local MP Steve Brine is supporting Guide Dogs' call to halt the increasing problem of attacks on working dogs. The Winchester MP was amongst the 150 members of parliament that backed the charity's call at a recent event in the House of Commons.

Defibrillators in Schools- The Big Shock Campaign

Steve Brine joined the Cardiac Charity SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) in the House of Commons on Tuesday 12th June to learn more about having Defibrillators and training in schools to save lives.

Steve dropped in to see the guys from Winnall Rock School at their stand at the Festival of Volunteering event on Sunday 3rd June.
Winnall Rock School runs every Tuesday evening during term time for 10-17 year olds, and is based at KAYAC on Winnall Valley Road.

Winchester's BIG society (and lunch)

The second Winchester Festival of Volunteering was held on Sunday (June 3 2012) and once again it joined forces with the city's version of the nationwide initiative 'Big Lunch', known as One Big Table.
