Health Secretary Andrew Lansley visited Winchester today, Thursday 9th February where he met local GPs, saw acute stroke services in the city and visited a local primary school to receive a very special cheque.
Local MP Steve Brine dropped into Peter Symonds' on Friday 3rd February to catch up with the college Principal, Neil Hopkins.
As well as discussing a range of educational issues, they also took a trip over Bereweeke Road to look at progress being made on the new Pavilion.
Steve Brine has welcomed Government funding to build more affordable homes in Winchester. Through the New Homes Bonus, Winchester City Council has been granted £1,139,689 this year to build much-needed housing in the local area.
Steve Brine is supporting two Winchester film-makers who are pulling out all the stops to get to Cannes 2012.
Jake Hawkins and Andy Phelps have made Zombie Resurrection, a low-budget British horror movie, following both of them being laid off from their jobs last year.
